we're home from our many travels! our visit home was good. zu got to spend some time with her grandparents on both sides, her aunts and uncles and even great-grandparents. bryan preached his first wedding, we went on a few dates all on our lonesome. bryan drove straight to the seminary to take his first summer accelerated course (one of his last before graduation in december!) so zu and i rode back home with my mom and grandma. i loved having girl-time with them; its amazing to have four generations of first born women in our family, together at once.
i am glad though to have some quiet down time with just zu today and tomorrow. and even more happy at the prospect of spending a quiet week with my husband back home. as a family we got some good news and very bad news earlier this week. and i feel very worn-out and a little (or, maybe a lot) discouraged. still God has blessed us very much and i am looking forward to our threesome being together again on saturday evening and sunday, bryan's first father's day. zu misses da-da-da-da and so do i!
I'm so sorry about the bad news - I read your email. Sorry I haven't responded to some of your emails yet. I've been a little backlogged. What is the good news?! Good news is a very, very good thing!!! Glad you made it home safely. :)
ReplyDeleteits ok, i mainly wanted to get it all off my chest, you know. the good news isn't as good as the bad news is bad--and i guess i should have a disclaimer, * the good news is not baby related * ha! its bryan's school related, so probably only exciting to bryan and me, but still, good news is good news?
ReplyDeleteGood news is good news, but I'm sorry it's not as good as the bad news is bad. :(
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful quiet week at home.
thanks erin...i'd go into detail but its related to bryan more than me and i don't know how much he'd want me sharing so...
ReplyDeletebut i think that some regrouping over the few weeks will help.
