leading worship

Bryan led morning worship at Providence Baptist this morning. It was his first time to lead Sunday morning worship at a church--he leads Wednesday night worship as part of his internship--and he did wonderfully! The church is a charming little country church. Worship was all old hymns--Be Thou My Vision, What Wondrous Love, There is a Fount, On Jordon's Stormy Banks, etc. There were a few unexpected things that happened--like the pastor forgetting to let Bryan (or the congregation) know that there wasn't going to be a children's sermon until after Bryan had already led the children in worship, but Bryan handled it all really well and I was so proud of him. It's so fulfilling to see my husband serving in the role God called him to.
