booklust.

since the library in our new little town is so tiny, i've become pretty reliant on interlibrary loan. they take about a week to get in and they only let me check out 2 books at a time--even with bryan working there, they won't budge on that rule, sadly!--so i have to be a little more choosey about what i read and not just check out everything under the sun, like i'm used to doing. its not a bad thing though--i'm much more appreciative of what poetry books i can get my hands on, and everytime bryan comes home from work with one of my interlibrary loan books, its like christmas! so here's a few books that are next on my to-read list--i like to have a novel or nonfiction book out and a poetry book out for my two, since i read poetry books so much faster than novels/nonfiction--some of these books i've been waiting a year or more to read!

  1. Is "Small Knots" a new Kelly Agodon book or an older one? I still need to read "Letters from the Emily Dickinson Room." I've liked all the poems I've read from that collection. :-) It's tough because we have a really dismal poetry section at my library (despite it being a big library). I guess I should look into interlibrary loan...I've never really experimented with it before!

  2. its an older one--i think she has 2 books before "Letters"--and i own Letters by the way, if you'd like to borrow it sometime!

our poetry section is basically non-existent too--the case with most libraries, unfortunately--ILL can be amazing though. some librarians are a pain about ILL--they act like its so much work or something--but luckily bryan is my librarian and he doesn't mind it at all for his favorite patron ;) anyway, ILL is pretty much awesome--you can get Anything you want to read at most libraries (ours can only get stuff thats at least a year old, but thats not too bad). definitely try it out!
